In this workshop we learn about stress, the cycle of stress, the effect of stress on the body and how to combat it. Then we delve into a delicious practice with gentle movements and blissful yin poses to reach into all of the places we tend to hold unnecessary stress.

Yin Yoga Workshop

Yin Yoga is an amazing practice that has a profound effect on the body and mind. In this workshop you’ll release deep tension as you learn about the principles and anatomy of Yin and the importance of understanding the fascial system. You’ll learn why it is good to disengage your muscles sometimes and how balancing a more active practice (yang) with a more yin-based practice can actually help you progress more quickly.
Yin poses are restorative by nature, but as we hold them for 3 to 5 minutes each you will experience a deep stretch; uncomfortable at times but well worth it. You’ll feel amazingly light, open, refreshed and rejuvenated at the end of the session.

This workshop is dedicated to helping you to survive the festive season! We’ll focus on gentle movements and delicious yin poses to ease out tension followed by some wonderful restorative poses and a blissful relaxation. After class we’ll enjoy a warming wintry drink and some festive treats.
